Another milestone achieved! SIHPP proudly celebrates the successful completion of the first batch of its 3-month pre-service training program for Community Health Workers (CHWs), recruited by PPHI and deployed at SIHPP Government Dispensaries recently handed over to PPHI. This achievement was made possible through strong collaboration with RMNCH-DoH, PPHI, and Willows International.The comprehensive training, conducted in accordance with the LHW Manual and Willows International System Enhancement Tool and under the direction of the Honorable Health Minister, equipped CHWs with essential knowledge and practical skills to deliver quality primary healthcare services at the community level. Key areas covered included maternal and child health, family planning, immunization, disease prevention, community engagement, and basic healthcare protocols.The technical component of the training was led by RMNCH master trainers, delivered through close coordination and continuous deliberations with the PMU training and technical teams, ensuring both quality and alignment with provincial health priorities.The successful completion of this first batch marks a significant step toward strengthening the frontline health workforce and expanding access to essential health services. In line with the commitment of the Department of Health, these trained CHWs will now be deployed to serve in underserved areas of Sindh, bringing essential healthcare closer to communities that need it the most.
