SIHPP Conducts One-Day Training Workshop on Prevention and Mitigation of GBV/SEA/SH
The Sindh Integrated Health and Population Project (SIHPP) organized a one-day training workshop on the Prevention and Mitigation of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (SEA), and Sexual Harassment (SH) on September 29, 2025. The workshop aimed to strengthen awareness, understanding, and institutional capacity to prevent and respond effectively to GBV/SEA/SH within the project’s operational framework. The session commenced with participant registration followed by an overview delivered by Ms. Kamakshi Mubarak, Senior Social Development Specialist from the World Bank. Key remarks were shared by the Project Director, SIHPP, and Ms. Kazumi Inden, Task Team Leader, SIHPP, World Bank, highlighting the importance of safeguarding, accountability, and survivor-centered approaches. The training covered essential themes including core concepts of GBV/SEA/SH, legal frameworks such as the Protection of Women Against Sexual Harassment at the Workplace Act 2010 (with amendments), and practical exercises through group work, role plays, and case studies. Interactive sessions encouraged active participation and deeper understanding of survivor-centered approaches and the creation of an enabling and respectful work environment.
